The images in this tutorial are from the Sand Patch Grade route, featured in the PC version of the base game. ‘Squares’ spacing will be relative to the dimensions of the reference image, rather than the canvas (so both images will show the same number of lines down and across, but the proportions may differ). This tutorial covers switching (or shunting) as featured in Train Sim World. However, the shape and pixel size of the squares will be the same. ‘Pixel’ spacing will reflect the actual pixel size of the Reference image, so you may have a different number of squares across differently sized references and the main canvas. It can be toggled on and off using the global “Show Grid” option. The Reference image grid will use the same settings as the canvas. The grid will also appear on your reference images to act as a guideline for proportions.
